MARCH 2016 FAVORITES

Hi! I hope you all had a great March! I absolutely love watching monthly favorite videos on YouTube, so these are my favorite blog posts to write.

Hourglass Ambient Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light – this bronzer was also included in my February favorites so you know that I really love it. Side note: I actually wish that YouTubers and Beauty Bloggers would “repeat” favorites if they are really loving the product instead of introducing “new” favorites every month. At this point, I would be totally fine getting rid of every other bronzer I own and wearing this one for the rest of my life. It is gorgeous. It is definitely on the warm side. However, I was never really able to master contouring so I like to use bronzer to warm up my complexion.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure – after loving the bronzer so much, I knew I had to buy a blush product from Hourglass. Blushes are my favorite makeup product to wear so I really wanted to buy every shade. However, my bank account said “no”. So, I posted on Instagram and almost every single person recommended the shade Mood Exposure. Wow, this color is gorgeous. I think this shade would be flattering on almost every single skin tone. If you haven’t picked up an Hourglass blush I would definitely start with this one. Plus, the packaging photographs beautifully, which is a plus for someone who photographs beauty products. (My picture of this blush on Instagram received the most likes I have ever gotten!) This color is a warmer-tone blush that blends beautifully on the skin. I haven’t been able to stop wearing it since I purchased it and I will definitely be buying a second Hourglass blush soon.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick – check out my detailed review on this product here. I still cannot get enough of this product. Plus, I am TOTALLY hooked on stick foundations now, they are so convenient. I don’t want to go back to using any of my liquid foundations!

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara – this mascara is amazing. It is super black and is both volumizing and lengthening. The brush is great and the product goes on really easily. My holy grail mascara is the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara… I’m not sure this mascara is AS good, but it is probably the closest one I have tried.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Copper – I recently hauled this product after seeing Alexandrea Garza use it on her channel. This eyeshadow is perfect for all over the lid and can be worn alone when you are in a hurry. This is the first ever eyeshadow stick that I have purchased and I really like it because it is so quick and easy to use. Also, this color in particular looks great with my brown eyes. However, I have actually started having problems with this product creasing and wearing off throughout the day. I had been wearing this product at night (so, for shorter periods of time) and I had no problems. I recently started wearing this product to work and I’ve had major creasing issues.  I really want to purchase the color Rose Gold but I am going to hold off until I can figure out how to make this product last longer.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Whiskey – I absolutely love the formula of this eyeliner. In my opinion, it is probably the best pencil eyeliner formula out there. I recently tried a new shade, Whiskey, and I am in love. If you like to wear warm-brown eyeshadows then you need this warm-brown eyeliner. I find that it goes perfectly with all of the eyeshadow looks that I wear. The pencil itself is extremely creamy and smudge-able and is super easy to apply.

Ok, so those are my favorites for the month of March. Just a little sneak peak for next month’s favorites: I recently picked up my first ever Make Up Forever Artist Shadows and holy crap they are SO good. There is one color in particular that I have been wearing everyday all over the lid and it MIGHT be my new favorite eyeshadow. Definitely stay tuned to hear more about those next month….

I know you’re not a drugstore gal, but I just heard about the Jordana Made to Last Liquid Eye Shadow and they look very similar to the Laura Mercier stick, but they are supposed to last! I haven’t tried them myself but I’m going to pick one up today. Just a thought!
