I don’t have a huge IT Cosmetics collection, but I absolutely love almost everything I have ever tried from this brand. I was initially drawn to this brand because each product also has skin-care ingredients in it. So, I thought it would be good to give you a review of each of the IT Cosmetics products that I have.

Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50 – This CC cream is absolutely gorgeous. It is super creamy and blends out so well. I haven’t tried any other CC creams so I don’t really have it anything to compare it to other than my foundations. For me, the coverage is actually pretty good – the product just breaks up a little on my skin during the day. I have super oily skin, so I think if you have dry skin you would absolutely love this product. I still love this product and plan on repurchasing it whenever I use it up. I like to wear it for shorter periods (i.e. running errands on the weekend, etc.) or I LOVE mixing it in with some of my foundations that are a little too dull and mattifying. Also, because it has SPF 50 and is natural looking, it is great for outdoor activities.

Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer – When I recently purchased this product, a few of my Instagram followers commented that this was too heavy for them. I haven’t had any problems with this being too heavy. I use the TINIEST amount that I can squeeze out of the tube and I find that it provides great coverage and blends out super easily. I also love that this concealer has anti-aging ingredients in it (like collagen). I immediately set this product and have not had any issues with it creasing. It’s not as convenient as my Urban Decay Naked Concealer because instead of having a wand applicator you have to squeeze it out and apply it with your hands or a makeup brush. However, I think the product itself is really nice.

Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Silk Pressed Anti-Aging Finishing Powder – I absolutely love this powder. I used to ONLY use pressed powders but after trying the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder I made the switch over to loose powders. This product has caused me to make the switch back over to pressed powders. It is absolutely gorgeous. It does a great job of blurring out my skin and making my face look flawless. I have not tested this powder with flash photography so I am unsure if it gives you flashback. Does anyone know? I would highly recommend this product. I’ve also heard that the pressed version is much better than the loose version of this product.

Bye Bye Redness Correcting Creme – This product is my favorite color correcting product that I own. It does an amazing job at getting rid of the redness on my skin. It is actually very thick and could probably be worn alone without foundation (although that would not be very cost effective). However, I like to apply a small amount of this underneath my foundation to even out my skin tone. I’ve also worn it on top of my foundation if my foundation is not giving me the coverage that I need. It is super creamy and easy to blend out.

Brow Power Waterproof Perfector 5-in-1 Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil – For me, this is my last favorite IT Cosmetics product that I have tried. I think this is partially due to the fact that I have been using the Anastasia Brow Wiz product for YEARS and it’s just hard to adjust to a different product. To be fair, I have only tried this twice so my complaints may seem silly: the tube is a little thicker than the brow wiz, so I didn’t find it as comfortable to hold. I also think that the color I got might be a little too light for me so it took more time to build it up. However, this product gets 4 stars on the Ulta website so I think it is just a personal preference thing for me.

Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara – if y’all saw my March favorites then you already know I am loving this mascara. In fact, I actually forgot to include this product in the main photograph because I was also photographing it for my favorites post. I find this mascara to be incredibly volumizing, super black, and also very lengthening. It is a very wet formula, which I really like. I hate buying a bottle of mascara and it feeling like it is already dried out on day 1. I would highly recommend trying out this mascara if you like a wet formula and dramatic lashes.

Have y’all tried any IT Cosmetics products?! Which products should I try out next? My current wish list includes their CC+ Radiance Ombre Blushes and Bronzer, their Naturally Pretty Eye Shadow Palette, their Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush and their Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush.

If you watch Nicole from Young, Wild and Polish on Snapchat then you know that she ordered the Best Damn Lip Mask from Nicole Guereirro’s Best Damn Beauty Line and it took over 2 months for the product to arrive. Needless to say, she was PISSED. So, I was shocked when she posted that she LOVED this lip mask. I decided to go ahead and give it a try and see if it is worth the hype. (It’s worth noting that the product was in stock when I ordered it, so it only took a few days for it to arrive).

The Packaging: The packaging is a cute little container that you have to dip your finger in each time you use it. If you can get past that issue (I did), then I think you will love the packaging. It’s both sleek and cute at the same time and the top is really easy to screw off. I mention this because the top of the Smith’s Lip Balm container is IMPOSSIBLE to get off and I will never repurchase that product even though the lip balm itself is really good.

The Price: The price is $26 for 0.5z  compared to $26 for 0.52oz for the Agave Lip Mask by Bite Beauty. Including shipping, the total cost was $33.45. I wish that it had been a little less expensive since the brand is not near as well-known and “reputable” as Bite Beauty.

The Product: The product itself is bright pink and has a slight scent to it. I’ve heard someone else describe it as a rosy scent and I guess I agree. Regardless, it is very faint. For me, this product is not one that I can wear during the day because of the color. It shows up as a bubble gum pink on me and is just not a good look against my olive skin tone.

The Performance: I have applied this product before bed every night since I purchased it. I now wake up with my lips feeling very moisturized and my lip products go on much smoother. Unfortunately, this is the only lip mask that I have ever used so I am not able to compare it to any other lip masks. However, I would still highly recommend this product because it actually works! …..BUT, I do plan on purchasing the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask next to see how it compares.

Have you tried the Best Damn Lip Mask? What did you think?

Hi! I hope you all had a great March! I absolutely love watching monthly favorite videos on YouTube, so these are my favorite blog posts to write.

Hourglass Ambient Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light – this bronzer was also included in my February favorites so you know that I really love it. Side note: I actually wish that YouTubers and Beauty Bloggers would “repeat” favorites if they are really loving the product instead of introducing “new” favorites every month. At this point, I would be totally fine getting rid of every other bronzer I own and wearing this one for the rest of my life. It is gorgeous. It is definitely on the warm side. However, I was never really able to master contouring so I like to use bronzer to warm up my complexion.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure – after loving the bronzer so much, I knew I had to buy a blush product from Hourglass. Blushes are my favorite makeup product to wear so I really wanted to buy every shade. However, my bank account said “no”. So, I posted on Instagram and almost every single person recommended the shade Mood Exposure. Wow, this color is gorgeous. I think this shade would be flattering on almost every single skin tone. If you haven’t picked up an Hourglass blush I would definitely start with this one. Plus, the packaging photographs beautifully, which is a plus for someone who photographs beauty products. (My picture of this blush on Instagram received the most likes I have ever gotten!) This color is a warmer-tone blush that blends beautifully on the skin. I haven’t been able to stop wearing it since I purchased it and I will definitely be buying a second Hourglass blush soon.

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick – check out my detailed review on this product here. I still cannot get enough of this product. Plus, I am TOTALLY hooked on stick foundations now, they are so convenient. I don’t want to go back to using any of my liquid foundations!

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara – this mascara is amazing. It is super black and is both volumizing and lengthening. The brush is great and the product goes on really easily. My holy grail mascara is the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara… I’m not sure this mascara is AS good, but it is probably the closest one I have tried.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Copper – I recently hauled this product after seeing Alexandrea Garza use it on her channel. This eyeshadow is perfect for all over the lid and can be worn alone when you are in a hurry. This is the first ever eyeshadow stick that I have purchased and I really like it because it is so quick and easy to use. Also, this color in particular looks great with my brown eyes. However, I have actually started having problems with this product creasing and wearing off throughout the day. I had been wearing this product at night (so, for shorter periods of time) and I had no problems. I recently started wearing this product to work and I’ve had major creasing issues.  I really want to purchase the color Rose Gold but I am going to hold off until I can figure out how to make this product last longer.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Whiskey – I absolutely love the formula of this eyeliner. In my opinion, it is probably the best pencil eyeliner formula out there. I recently tried a new shade, Whiskey, and I am in love. If you like to wear warm-brown eyeshadows then you need this warm-brown eyeliner. I find that it goes perfectly with all of the eyeshadow looks that I wear. The pencil itself is extremely creamy and smudge-able and is super easy to apply.

Ok, so those are my favorites for the month of March. Just a little sneak peak for next month’s favorites: I recently picked up my first ever Make Up Forever Artist Shadows and holy crap they are SO good. There is one color in particular that I have been wearing everyday all over the lid and it MIGHT be my new favorite eyeshadow. Definitely stay tuned to hear more about those next month….

Recently, I have gotten into following my favorite beauty gurus on Snapchat. I LOVE it. I actually enjoy watching their Snapchat videos a lot more than their YouTube videos. They are just way more natural, less produced, less sponsored. It takes me back to a few years ago when I first got into watching YouTube videos and people like Jaclyn Hill and Kathleen Lights were just “normal girls” talking about makeup they had purchased and enjoyed.

ANYWAYS, the point of this short little post is to let you know that I have started my own Snapchat: kateluvsmakeup. If you are interested in seeing hauls, swatches, beauty collection tours, etc. make sure to follow me. I’ve already posted my makeup of the day, a behind the scenes of my most recent blog post, and my Play! by Sephora unboxing!

I bought the RCMA No Color Powder after I heard both Kathleen Lights and Wayne Goss rave about it. I love my Laura Mercier translucent powder but I am about to run out so I’ve been “saving” it  As a result, I have recently been trying a few other translucent powders to see if there are any that I like better. So far, there AREN’T.

I posted a comment on my Instagram about how I wasn’t impressed with the packaging on the RCMA No Color Powder and I very quickly got a few responses (including a response from Beautylish). They said: “RCMA is on more sets in Hollywood than any brand and is still packaged the same way it has been for years… almost in a way to keep it a secret.” I thought this was actually really interesting but it definitely did not improve my feelings about the packaging.

Packaging: I strongly dislike the packaging. It’s basically a giant salt shaker. It’s just not functional. There isn’t a cap that you can pour some of the product into. Every time that I used this product I had to “borrow” the cap from one of my Laura Mercier powders. Secondly, the holes that the product come out of are HUGE so it is hard to control how much product pours out. It doesn’t matter how much cheaper this product is if you waste a ton of it each time. (I did hear someone say that they poured the powder into an old Laura Mercier container, so as soon as I have an empty container I will be trying that.)

The Powder Itself: This powder is very white, much more white than the Laura Mercier translucent powder, and I found that I didn’t like how it looked when it first applied to my face. However, I applied Laura Mercier to one half of my face and the RCMA powder to another half of my face and after my makeup was done both sides looked pretty much identical. Both powders also performed similarly throughout the day. So, the quality definitely seems to be there.

The Price: The price is amazing. You get $10 for 3 oz which is insane. I did have to pay $5 for shipping from Beautylish so it ended up costing me $15. If you use a ton of powder for baking or are on a budget – I would definitely recommend this product. However, if you are like me – and you love the flawless look of the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, I would say that you should pass on this product and continue to use your Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.

So, I know that I JUST said I wasn’t going to buy any new foundations because I love my Estee Lauder Double Wear so much… but.. I just bought a new foundation. It wasn’t my fault though! My friend Lisa recommended that I try this foundation (backstory: she is a professional makeup artist and we met when she did my makeup for my wedding. We are now makeup besties.)

I had never tried a stick foundation before and honestly, I was never really tempted to try a stick foundation. I didn’t really understand the appeal. I can tell you that when I first applied this foundation I was super grossed out. Something about applying a stick of foundation onto my skin just felt nasty. So, on day 1 I hated this foundation.

Once I got past my aversion to stick foundation, I realized that I absolutely LOVE this foundation. I blend it out with a foundation brush (my Sigma F80) and the coverage is great. It seriously feels so lightweight and I hardly feel like I have any makeup on. It also has kept me super matte. I have literally worn this foundation EVERY day since I purchased it. The ironic thing is that I now prefer stick foundation to liquid foundation (it is so compact/travel friendly, easy to apply, less of a mess, no wasted product, etc.)

I never really hear anyone talk about this foundation but it gets great reviews on Sephora. Here is some information I took directly from the Sephora website (for the record, I agree with each of these claims):

Research results:
In an independent consumer study after 1 week:
– 100% said this product was easy to apply
– 100% felt the product glided well onto the skin upon application
– 99% felt the foundation applied evenly
– 97% agreed the foundation left their skin feeling soft, velvety, and smooth
– 96% said this foundation feels lightweight on the skin
– 96% felt this product did not dry out the skin
– 95% agreed the product felt comfortable on the skin, allowing it to breathe
– 95% thought the foundation provided good coverage
– 95% felt the product minimized the appearance of imperfections
– 94% agreed the foundation provides a shine-free finish, without leaving the skin feeling greasy
– 93% felt the product evened their skin tone
– 92% thought the product gave them a natural result
– 92% said the foundation minimized the appearance of pores

If you have normal to oily skin and have been wanting to try out a stick foundation, I would highly recommend this product. You will DEFINITELY be seeing it in my next monthly favorites.

In honor of Daylight Savings, I thought now might be a good time to discuss my favorite ways to combat dark under-eyes.
I have and love both the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector and the MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter in Lightboost. These are two very different products that achieve almost identical results (in my opinion).
The Becca product is very different from anything I have ever tried. It comes in a cute little “tub” and is a light peachy-pink color. You apply this product before you apply your concealer. I usually just apply a small amount of this product with my fingers and blend it out with my fingers. I’ve heard others say that they like the beauty blender to blend it out, but I find that my fingers work just fine. When I apply my concealer over this product, it does make it a little more difficult to blend out because this product is kind of tacky feeling.
The MAC product is yellow and very creamy. It is in a pen container, which I love, and you “click” the bottom of the pen to get more product out. The packaging does get much messier than the Becca product though. I usually apply this at the same time as my concealer, and it is incredibly easy to blend out.
I applied each of these products the other night (one to each under eye area) and I found that the results were almost identical (the brightness, lasting powder, lack of creasing, etc.). My husband swears that the MAC side was much brighter but I just didn’t see it. If I had to choose one product, I think I would stick with the MAC brightener because I like that I can apply it at the same time as my concealer and that it is really easy to blend out. Plus, my husband liked it best 🙂
